Geograph

Geograph  is an email list for discussion of geography that was set up in 1995. It was described as "an experimental bulletin board and discussion forum for academic geography - faculty, students and other persons having interests in the field of modern geographic research" (reference here ).

The full list archives  are browsable and searchable online. I subscribed for a brief while and posted one question (it did not generate a discussion on the list but did lead to a useful contact with one of the editors of The Biosphere and Noosphere Reader  - I'm acknowledged on p. xiii).
